The Friends of Market 5 Gallery are committed to the continuation and success of this multicultural arts facility at Eastern Market.

The Friends of Market 5 Gallery believe that the continuation of an arts and cultural center that serves as a facilitator to all the culturally diverse segments of the City of Washington, D.C. is essential to a thriving neighborhood.

The Friends of Market 5 Gallery recognize the need for a community-based artistic and cultural activity center in the city of Washington, D.C., and support the mission of Market 5 Gallery to provide affordable space and a nurturing environment for artists to exhibit, perform, and demonstrate and sell their goods.

The Friends of Market 5 Gallery support the commitment of Market 5 Gallery to the children and youth of the District of Columbia through programs devoted to their participation in arts and cultural activities to foster interest in racial and ethnic heritage, and encourage an active participation in cultural programs.
